Ryan Bevington

Hi, my name is Ryan Bevington, and I am proud to be in the Ohio Junior Rodeo. I am 11 years old and in the fifth grade at Midway Elementary.

My uncle was in the rodeo when he was young, and I use to go watch. That's how I got started. I have been a member since 2004.

My favorite rodeo event right now is steer daubin. I also compete in breakaway roping (which I won a first place buckle in last year),advanced dummy roping, goat tying, and I used to ride calves. In the past I have competed in goat tail tying, sheep riding, down and back, and dummy roping.

I have a lot of fun in and out of the arena at our rodeo because I have made a lot of new friends there. I love being in the rodeo, when I tell my friends at school about it they think I am cool.

We always camp at the rodeos with the other rodeo families, and when the rodeo is over we get to do fun things like have water balloon fights, playing in the mud, and fun shows just to name a few.

Everyone at the rodeo works together to help the kids learn. It's like we are one big family.

When I'm not out horsing around, I like to play football and basketball. I'm also a member of the Eager Achievers 4-H club.

When I grow up, I hope to become a pro football player.
